[1] Pain, anger, destruction, death... [2] War, why?
[3] Imagine this very same world, divided into the very same countries, with the very same governmental setup only without the need of a defense system. [4] In this artificial world we just created, there is no need to shield your country, your land nor your home because everyone else have the same idea and are satisfied with their respective territory. [5] Without a thought of invading one another's property we would all live in peace, perhaps we would not always agree and certainly we wouldn't fancy everyone around us but without the necessity of conquering, that wouldn't do any difference since why strive for something you don't strive for?
[6] War has been in man's nature for as long as history tells, one can only speculate on how it all began, what triggered this cruel behavior that we now see as an obviousness. [7] Assume that in the dawn of time, a single event brought war into our species. [8] There's no point in discussing what that incident could be since, well, it's an assumption but just think for a second, if that event could be undone, how much it would gain man. [9] Access our history files, look-up every occurrence of war, every victim of mass-destruction and everyone that has ever felt pain because of dominating behavior. [10] Click delete.

[1] A family of three in China are attending a yearly celebration of an unknown cause, amongst the activities taking place is a competition beneath the surface of a calm river. [2] As the starting shot bursts out, the participants takes a deep breath and dives down from their boats into the comfortable water, urgently they swim for the finishing point. [3] During the course of this many competitors drown, optionally yield, amidst them is the father of the family but that doesn't keep the daughter and wife from keep going forward.
[4] When the few remaining players, including the woman and child, reach the goal, joy and relief are apparent but the peace is abruptly broken by the Americans, from the movie Saving Private Ryan, invading the area. [5] With grenade launchers, they massacre the crowd and mass-hysteria breaks loose. [6] The cheerful amusement park is turned into a God forsaken battlefield, explosions are seen everywhere, mutilated children and women, blood-splattered men and shattered limbs lies all over the place.
[7] I am running down the green-covered plateau toward the suburb down ahead, grenades whining pass me, eruptions of fire besides me. [8] Tom Hanks has me as his personal agenda in this war zone. [9] I don't seem to pay any attention to the absence of machine-gun artillery, it's perfectly normal in this world to command a full-scale assault on another country using merely grenade launchers.
[10] Reaching the street, a woman appears. [11] She's worried about the current situation but yet calm and relaxed, she doesn't seem to be affected by the ongoing combat, it's obvious to me that she is the narrator, she speaks softly but I don't listen. [12] I lose track of the group I'm with, a group that didn't exist until I lost track of them. [13] Tom Hanks catches up with me, now confronting me on the open street while his squad maintain a constant bombing over the two of us.
[14] Suddenly a grenade lands right next to me, I react immediately, purely on reflexes and run in the opposite direction, throwing myself onto the ground to avoid the burst. [15] Proudly I arise intact and uninjured, laughing in the face of Tom. [16] Another grenade places itself between us, now standing right next to each other. [17] Without a thought we split up, each running to a different route, by coincidence the grenade roll in Hanks' course, ending up at his very feet.
[18] The narrator, being on Tom Hanks' side, screams of agony as Hanks sighs right before the bomb goes off. [19] A bolt of fire emerges and I can clearly see the shape of him inside the blazing fire before a second blast occurs out of the same explosive, a more extreme one this time, and his shape disappears. [20] Two seconds later, out of the smoke, a pair of legs dressed in blue jeans stumbles out, there's nothing from the waist up and blood is spraying out of the horrific wound.
[21] As I am watching this gruesome scene, I wittily comment; [22] "Look, it's a fountain!".

[1] Whenever I find myself in front of the tell-lie-vision, watching one of way too many modeling shows, I seem to understand the psyche of myself and perhaps we all as well. [2] Having a quick glimpse at these models on TV, you might say one or two are attractive and let's face it, they're not models for nothing. [3] Yet, if you keep your eyes on the screen for awhile longer you will see beyond their surgically-disimproved bodies and then see their personality and who they really are.
[4] When noticing their stereotypic behavior, depending on how they present themselves, you will most likely lose all recognition of that temptation you so strongly felt before just because you've seen through their plastic shell that they seem to enclasp themselves in.
[5] To me, this implies that when looking at a woman, I can find her shapes intriguing but that her personality, when revealed to me, plays an important role in the chemistry between the two of us. [6] If the woman in question would turn out to be a disappointment in her act, every little sense of attraction would vanish, she just wouldn't produce the same feelings on me upon sight. [7] Basically, she wouldn't be of interest any longer.
[8] The idea of this is a very positive part of man's mind, making us not choose a woman merely because of her outer self but rather of a mixture with the key decision lying on her inner essence, her personality.
[9] Don't get me wrong here, all I'm saying is that unless the counter-part of a relationship fits your own self there won't be any sexual tension between you in the long race, though a relationship purely on a friendly-basis doesn't necessarily require a symmetrical connection but when planning to live and die beside a loved one, chemistry is essential. [10] I guess that's what love is. |
